LOKOJA – Four persons were feared dead after a bomb explosion at a community radio, TAO FM, in Kogi Central senatorial zone , Monday night.
Report gathered that the bombing occurred around 8pm . No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing of the station located at the centre of Okene town.
Although the number of casualties was yet to be ascertained, sources said four persons were feared dead with many injured. Sources also revealed the attack may not be unconnected with the radio’s negative reports on some politicians, especially in the run-up to Saturday lats week House of Assembly re-run elections in the area.
Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relation Officer, Shola Collins said, the police have already been mobilised to the scene of the incident. Collins said the attack which affected part of the radio station building, said four person have already been declared dead while many are still in the hospitals.
